Robin turned to leave then stopped and turned around. “You would think that someone who had just been through what she has been through would show a little anxiety. This woman is as cool as a cucumber. She doesn’t appear the least bit upset!” Robin returned to the guest cabin. Lleyton followed her a few minutes later.
When Lleyton entered the cabin, Sena was sitting on the side of the bed. From outward appearances she was calm and collected and seemed happy to see Lleyton. Inside, she was carefully considering her next several moves as her scientific, biochemist brain had accustomed her to do. She knew she had to communicate somehow with the man and women that had rescued her from the sea without revealing the whole truth. Given that she didn’t speak their language and knew practically nothing about the planet she had landed on, communication would be difficult, to say the least. What she did know was that these people looked like she did; they would have no reason to suspect she was an alien from another planet. That was unexpected.
The first question she wanted to ask them was where is Rion? They both had known there was a good chance that only one of them might survive, if either of them survived. Until she was convinced that Rion was dead, however, she would assume he was still alive, and she would do whatever necessary to find him. She knew Rion would do the same if he were alive.
