Mascara is amazing tool to really make your lashes stand out. Whether you want a dramatic look, or a more natural one, lashes are key in completing your look.
First, start off by curling lashes. A great trick is to take a lighter and warm the metal “tongs” of the curler. Using a blow dryer on the high setting for about 15 seconds also works well too. Make sure to check the temperature on your hand. When the temperature is warm, start curling, making sure to get as close to the eye line as possible. Curling the lashes makes them appear longer and your eyes brighter.
Mascara comes in so many colors today, so the choices are endless. Black is still standard and looks amazing. If you are very fair, try using brown or clear mascara. It is also a great way to get little kids involved!
Waterproof mascara is a must for weddings, funerals or if you tend to tear a lot.
Do not wear coloured mascara unless it is a party, or for a dramatic look, or you will not be taken seriously.
Apply mascara from root to tip. I also like to take an eyeliner brush and dip in the mascara to saturate the lashes at the top, and one more layer from root to tip the regular way. If lashes are clumped, use an eyebrow brush, or mascara comb to remove any clumps.
Best Tip
If you can’t find your eyeliner, you can still line your eyes. Simply take an eyeliner brush, run it across your mascara wand and apply just like eyeliner – voila!
