An hour before school ends isn’t soon enough for her. Anya decides to up and leave in the middle of Ross’ lecture.
Anya jets out the door. Her two friends Milton and Penni are both confused.
“What’s gotten into her today?” Penni whispered to a much more confused Milton.
“I- I don’t know. Maybe it’s that time of the month.”
Penni slaps him mildly and turns around into her chair pouting.
Meanwhile, Ross follows in pursuit. He’s just as shocked as her friends. His best student just up and leaves in the middle of a lesson? Something is definitely wrong.
She stops beside a window and remains silent for a few seconds. Anya takes a deep breath before beginning.
“You don’t understand! You can’t. I cannot allow myself to live in a world full of false pretense.”
With the grace of an experienced ballerina, she jumps out of the window to the ground three stories below.
‘What am I even doing anymore? What am I supposed to do with myself?’ Anya thought to herself restlessly while she ran off into a random direction.
Ross looks at her as she runs off. He can’t help but feel slightly worried. Of course he knew of her nightly antics, but during the day she was perfectly normal.
‘What’s going on with you, Anya?’ Ross thought as he denies more bothersome thoughts from entering his mind. After all, he does have about forty minutes left to teach his class.
The day goes through its motions, and before you know it, night time arrives. Anya loves the night, it cloaks her in an exclusive black that allows anonymity and helps her spike fear into her neighborhood assailants.
-BLAM- -BLAM-
In a nearby alley, Anya who is now dressed as Roman tears into some gang members that have been terrorizing her town recently.
“Fool! You nor your petty ass bullets can touch me.” Roman boasts with a wicked smile.
“We’ll see about that, bitch!” A male gang member screams aiming at her again.
More shots are fired, but she dodges it with great stealth and agility.
“Damn it she’s fast!” Another member curses under his breath.
Using her whip she snaps all the guns out of their hands and jumps triumphantly onto the hood of a car parked nearby the opening of the alley.
“Last time I’ll say this. Take you and your-“ BLAM, “Agh!”
