Nia Irvin-Smith is the youngest child of Roosevelt Smith Sr. and Sonia Irvin-Smith. She was born in Houston, Texas and raised primarily in Spring, Texas with her 2 older brothers, Vernon and Brandon. Nia experienced salvation at an early age and grew up in a Christian household where the foundation of her faith was laid. As she grew in the Lord, Nia knew that the call on her life was to teach youth and young adults about the life-changing power found in the knowledge and application of the Word of God.
Nia’s passion is to see her generation and those coming up behind her experience an intimate relationship with Christ and reach greater levels of spiritual maturity.
I used this book as an avenue to share some of my testimony with others; from the battle of low self-esteem to verbal abuse. We all have different things we've been through and loving God doesn't disqualify us from facing different hurts and trials. I'm a living witness that God is able to heal and deliver, no matter what it is that you are going through.

While You Wait…
I believe we’re all built with an inner desire for companionship, and while earthly relationships are good, there’s a place in our lives that can only be satisfied by God. That desire for wholeness is really the desire God placed in each one of us for a relationship with Him, but most of us try to fill it with other things (drugs, alcohol, sex, excessive partying, the love of a person, etc.) and wonder why we keep coming up short. That was me, and I tried to fill that yearning with people. I had a void, and even though I loved Jesus and experienced salvation as a child, I never let Him fill that void. I unknowingly tried to do it myself.
