It is hard to leave a person that you have been with for a while. There may children involved, both families may be comfortable and familiar with the person, and you don't want to start over with a stranger. Your lover may have good qualities that you once fell in love with, but throughout the relationship, the bad qualities began to outweigh the good on a large scale. Your relationship may be at a point where you two argue every day and sometimes arguments may escalate. Your relationship may also be to a point where you go to work early just to get away from them. The chemistry you had is gone, those butterflies that were in your stomach now cause your stomach to ache when you see them, the sex is more like an arrangement and you sleep in separate rooms.
