Welcome to a very personal look into a thirty-nine day journey with one man who did lose his dream along the way. After leaving his business of thirty years to be in full-time music ministry, Michael faced disappointment after disappointment and found himself in a state of gloom and depression like he had never faced before. Coming to a point of losing his faith altogether, a faith he has had all of his life, Michael had the opportunity to spend the summer at his vacation home on Mitchell Bay in Friday Harbor, Washington, working as an artist.
During this time Michael made a pact with God, that he would go on a thirty-nine day journey with Him, journaling everyday, his thoughts, his hurts, his needs, singing and worshipping, spending time in His word, seeking God with all his heart, and the God who created the heavens and the earth met Michael there in an extraordinary way.
I was about to make myself very transparent before God being honest about my hurts and my fears in hopes that healing would begin to take place.

One Summer on Mitchell Bay
As I started this thirty-nine day journey I was a little nervous, anxious and apprehensive. I had just recently been hurt so bad by my former church and now feeling even rejected by God that he really wasn’t going to use me in the ministry after I had left my business to answer what I believed was God’s call.
