Cheryl is pregnant with no clue what to do. She had never been the relationship type and was struggling with her feelings about the whole situation. Amongst all of this, Cheryl is sent a new target by her agency; one that sends her on a man hunt and complicates her life even more. While completing her job Cheryl realizes that for the first time she could be in love, she solves a mystery and catches a killer. However, to do this, she is forced to choose sides and the side that she will choose, leaves her with unwanted enemies.
After entering her first poetry competition at the age of 8 and winning, Tamika Taylor knew she loved writing. Majoring in English in college and working as a tutor at the writing center, Tamika continued writing. While in college a piece she wrote was selected to be presented at the English undergraduate conference and following this is when she decided to begin writing this novella. This is her first novella and the only thing that she and her main character has in common is the fact that her character is living the life of an assassin, one she wished she could.

Unexpected Target
it was the middle of the night and Cheryl heard a noise. She turned and looked at the clock on the night stand and it said 1:20. She laid there for a minute and then she heard something again. She slid out of the bed and grabbed her gun. As she was about to open the bedroom door, she heard someone approaching. She stood in the corner just as the door opened. Just as she eased from behind the door, she saw a shadow standing over Tre, and she fired off two shots, hitting the assailant in his head. Tre jumped out of bed and switched on the lamp. “What the fuck, what are you doing with that gun Cheryl? What is going on here? Cheryl flipped the light switch. She already knew who the assailant was and she knew that meant her time was up. Lying on the floor was Wolf. He was careful and the only reason that Cheryl heard him coming was because she was trained to.
