Phil was born in Brooklyn, New York, in the
early 1940's as Philip Sante Beckinella…to a
middle-income family. He struggled through
most of his schooling years. School became
so much of a burden that he enlisted at seven-
teen into the U.S. Army and served for 3 years
(at which time he obtained his High School
Diploma). On his return from Baumholder,
Germany, he continued his education and set
a foot into the profession of Architecture. Soon
after his graduation, he was welcomed into
one of New York’s finest Architectural firms.
His talent al owed him to participate in design
and production documents. He commenced
having a hand in the designing and construct-
ing of hospitals from New York to California
where he re-established his residence and
has lived since 1974. He is now retired and
living in the beautiful state of Oregon with his
lovely wife Sandra. His first adventure in writ-
ing was a short story called "The Visitor." He’s
also completed a new book called “
Shhh...Listen! ‘Can You Hear The Holy Spirit"
Why would a man, from the background we
just talked about, want to write? I guess we
can say he’s had a dormant but deep-seated
love to write; or there is something in him that
just had to come out! All that being true…still,
that's not the ‘real reason’ he took up writing.
You see, it was God's abiding love that drove
him to write this story! It’s the need for each
and every Christian to know that there is a
‘gift’ from God the Father that they have yet to
embrace, and without that gift, they seem to
be left ‘powerless.’ So the work of the Church
is not being done, as it should be. The power
they need is available but is being left ‘un-
used.’ The unfortunate result is that many wil
‘lose out’ on the wonderful and miraculous
things Jesus bestowed to us when he paid the
price for our salvation and freedom by His
magnanimous, almost incomprehensible, sac-
rifice on the Cross.
