Take every notion, feeling, experience and expectation that you have on poetry and throw it up in the air, just take everything you've ever known about it and toss it aside. Not because of what makes it so are being broken and not because simple fundamentals and poetic structures are being altered, no that's not it at all. Simply take a deep breath, relax and remember that nothing is off limits, nothing is too right or too wrong or completely outside the box(pun totally intended). So untie that metaphorical bow, put your hand on the corner and open the book and take in that fresh page aroma and all the splendid "flavors" that is poetry.
I am a multi-genre novelist and distinctive poet and have four published books. I am an indie author of “The Macabre Masterpiece: Poems of Horror and Gore”, a book of deep poems with Poe-esque themes, “A Bloody Bloody Mess in the Wild Wild West, a Post Civil War Non-Traditional Western with horror and fantasy elements. I’ve also written “Like A Box of Chocolates”, a book of poetry within different genres and “Opium Warfare”, a crime thriller set in 1920's Shanghai. I have short stories in several anthologies including “The Hunger of Love” in “Seven Deadly Sins: Romance Horror Anthology”, “Scarlet’s Wall” in “Seven Deadly Sins: Fantasy Noir Anthology”, “Ripper” and “The Involuntary Manslaughterer” in “My Other Friends & Collected Scary Stories” and “The Devil’s Orgy” in the Spring 2015 Issue of “Dark Gothic Resurrection Magazine”.
