Warm bright sunshine came with Sunday morning. I rose early, called room service, and treated myself to coffee, éclairs, and the paper. Last night's dinner, a turkey club sandwich, left me famished when I woke. Twenty minutes later a distinguished, gray-haired gentleman rolled my breakfast into the room.
I poured myself a cup of coffee, grabbed the pastry and the paper, and retreated to the balcony. After gulping down my first cup and inhaling a freshly baked bun, I sat back, sipping and nibbling as I read the paper.
The headlines announced the upcoming Democratic Gubernatorial Convention in Miami. One article focused on the extra security needed for the convention, because many high0-powered dignitaries would be attending. All major hotels would be beefing up their own in0-house security.
A similar article toward the bottom of the page caught my eye. The caption read, "Committee picks the Regency hotel for convention headquarters despite recent problems."
