We live in a busy world filled with authoritative voices telling us what to do and action plans telling us when and how it should be done. In an effort to alleviate tension, we search out more information to help us cope, which often adds to our level of stress. We sense that if only we could fix the people and the things that bother us, we would be able to relax and enjoy life more fully.
It took a slightly accidental encounter to allow me to more fully appreciate that not only was I reacting to past experiences, but that also I could let go of these reactions so that things no longer bothered me.
