Covert Bullying
Another form of bullying is covert, and this can be taking the credit for someone else’s work, spreading malicious rumours, ignoring, interrupting every time you make a comment especially at meetings, not giving someone enough work to do and giving impossible targets and timescales.
If It Is Happening to You
It is best to speak to the bully but only if you feel confident to do so. Why should you let this individual shout at you? ‘No way’ you say.
I would suggest that you say to the bully ‘please do not shout at me again’ and they may be taken aback as they didn’t realise this. If on the other hand, they continue then it is a case to repeat the sentence a few times until they get the message. They may not get the message and it is best to take it further.
