How you can worry about small things?
We all worry about different things. Some people say they are born worriers. Whereas others worry about what they said to someone or what they are going to do next. So often we can worry about what is outwith our control. With 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts per day, you can use up a lot of energy, so it is better to use it efficiently than inefficiently.
You may worry about your health or how to cope with various situations; major upset or change in circumstances, moving to a new area or a new job or losing your job.
With worry comes fear and often it is fear of the unexpected. Sometimes worry about your job whether there will be changes, and then you could lose your job. This is out of your control so what I say at training sessions is to make two lists – one of what you can control and one that you cannot control. The list of what you cannot control, leave and focus on what you can control.
