I snickered. Jackson’s dinner date was by no means ugly, but she was quite a bit older than him, and had that rode-hard-and-put-away-wet look to her. “If they head to a hotel after this, we can officially classify this as our easiest case to date. Did you find anything interesting on our unhappy couple?”
Parker shook her head and bit into her spring roll. “Not a thing. They’re all smiles and cheery in the society pictures I found, and there’s not a whisper of scandal in the gossip columns. She doesn’t have a job, but everything else seems to indicate she’s the picture-perfect stay-at-home wife and he’s the successful architect.”
“She said the problems started a few months ago, so either they’re really good at hiding it, or her dates are off. Uh oh, here we go.”
