Xavier found a section of wall that looked almost like a comic strip from the newspaper. It seemed to tell a story to him. There was a man in a forest; at least, he thought it was a forest. It was hard to be certain. Anyway, the man walked along until he found what looked like a cave, and he went into this cave and then came back out. Only, when he came back out, he had what looked like claws. That made Xavier a little confused, so he continued along the wall, following the story as it unfolded further. The man with claws was now surrounded by other men, and something that cast a great shadow.
Xavier looked to his right to see what the source of the great shadow was, but saw that it led into a crack in the wall that was very narrow. He shined his flashlight into the crack, and heard something rustle. A chill ran down his spine, and he backed away. The light he was pointing at the crack bounced merrily about the wall as his hand shook furiously.
One of the Germans noticed and walked over to him. "Boy, what is it?"
Xavier found his voice and said, "I was following this story about a man with claws, and it led over there." He pointed with a trembling finger at the fracture. "I shined my light in there, and something… something moved."
