Two lost souls, one powerful connection. As a Dom for Club Moon, Nick Santos uses bondage to alleviate his anger at being forcefully changed. And when he meets Gwen Waters, his carefully controlled world is turned upside-down. Through her, he'll learn what true self-control is and that being a vampire has its benefits.
Freshly divorced from an abusive ex-husband, Gwen doesn't want another domineering man. But when she meets Nick, a world she only fantasized about is laid before her. Can she trust a Dom who's also a vampire? And can Nick be the man she deserves?
Hugo, wanting a way to screw over Nick, reveals himself to Gwen. With blazing red eyes and elongated fangs, he makes a scary sight. And so does Nick. His sapphire blue eyes were now changed to furious red at the exposure, his own fangs revealed. That night, Gwen learns that there are scarier things than spiders.
Nick contained his irritation at the presence of another vampire in the park. They had vanished into concealment mode which meant he couldn’t pinpoint the exact location. If they were smart, they’d play this off like he was.
“It’s been a while since I’ve simply gone for a walk.” Gwen glanced around at the one other couple also walking. “This is a beautiful night for it.” She gave Nick a dry smile. “Good ol’ Louisville weather, never know what season it is.”
“True. It might be forty-five degrees tomorrow.” Nick’s senses were on full alert. The other vampire was close.
“October was always aggravating because the weather was so unpredictable. One year I had to wear a coat over my costume.” Gwen softly laughed. “It ruined the illusion.”
“Aww, isn’t this romantic?”
In one move, Nick rotated, pushing Gwen behind him, her squeal of surprise ignored. His ruby eyes flashed in fury at the smug Hugo, whose own eyes were crimson.
