“I try to go up, I climb out of the cage in the dark and I scream for you to give me your hands. Quick... QUICK! The elevator falls. Your arms emerge out of the darkness. I grab your hand, but Leslie disappears into the darkness together with the cage. I jump after him, down into the void. The last adventure together, the ultimate madness in that spiral of fear that from that day to this hasn't left me.”

The entire Icosagon had absorbed those last sensations, created its own personalised emotions and plunged into silence. Everyone was struggling with their own fears. And Sen Atâr had even been careful to not replicate the whole experience which would have been too much to bear.
