I really missed Mom and Dad at graduation. I didn’t want to have a graduation celebration. I knew I’d spend the whole time thinking about who wasn’t there. Max’s parents threw a huge party at their house and included me. It was fun, but not the same. His parents have been so kind to me. I come and go as I please, just like I’m part of their family.
In addition to being the nicest guy I know, Max is the smartest. He’s going to be a doctor and I’m sure he’ll be world famous. We’re gearing up for registration. From what we know it’s an all-day experience, standing in line at Schmitz Hall. Grandma is packing us a lunch.
I’m afraid to have free time on my hands. It leads to thinking too much and then I dwell on the negative. Being busy is good for me and I’ll need to stay busy this summer. Grandma and Grandpa worry that I’m pushing myself too hard, but they don’t understand that if I slow down, I may never come back.
