Miss Camp: An Anderson Family Short

Humor & Entertainment

It’s 1980. And at summer camp, there are some rules: 1.When making out with your boyfriend in his cabin, be sure not to draw attention to any of his odd collectibles… and we don’t mean his action figures. 2.Do not, under any circumstances, tell your sister what you found. 3.If you do tell your sister, accept that you’re toast. This is a short story. If you enjoy tales of sisterhood, humorous antics, and sweet, sweet revenge, this story is for you. Meet Ann and Elise from MISS BEHAVE as teens.

The Dangers of Dating

This bubble was inspired by a true story. Gross, right? Well, darlings, teen boys can be cheeky little things and events such as these can be scarring. To this day, I walk into the homes of friends and side-eye their pottery....

Miss Behave

Romance

She's great at giving advice, too bad she never takes it… Piper Anderson wants to be a serious journalist at a serious paper covering serious news. Instead, she’s stuck at the Pendleton Falls Herald, where her massive investigative skills are wasted penning the paper’s advice column, Miss Behave. Her shot at a meaty story comes when she’s assigned to write up a profile of a local business, Brookes Jewelers. She is determined to write the piece so she can use the article to impress a real paper. Unfortunately Hunter Brookes, co-owner of Brookes Jewelers and the Pendleton Falls Herald, is rather persistent, in his own hot little way, that the piece should be nothing more than a glorified sales pitch. But when diamonds disappear, Piper may get the chance to do a real investigation, leading her to confront family secrets and worst of all, turn to her mother for help. Piper soon realizes that there is more to Mr. Brookes than a tight ass and a ridiculous fascination with name tags. Together they deal with roasted pigs, crazy cat ladies, and gun-toting fashionistas. In all the chaos, they just might find the one thing that neither one was looking for: true love. Perfect for fans of romantic comedy, funny women's fiction, humor, and contemporary romance..

Watch that Money, Sweet Cheeks!

Darlings, I must confess, I do love a good round of mayhem at the casinos. However, this particular tidbit of wisdom struck me as I was in Vegas many moons ago. At nine in the morning, when I was shockingly up and ready for breakfast, I walked past a gaggle of men so drunk they could no longer hold their booze. Literally, darlings, they had to wear their mai tais in sippy cups strapped around their necks. They were going on about how their wives were going to kill them and viola, this advice column was born. As much as your beloved author loves both roulette and white Russians, there is a limit, even for Miss Behave.
