Bachelor Party Aftermath

This short story is based on my experience as a young bride. My husband and I were newlyweds when he was invited to a bachelors party. I didn't want him to go because I knew strippers were going to be there, but he went anyway. I was left home alone, on stormy night that took out the electricity. The only light was from a fire and my company, a puppy we adopted a couple of weeks before. I was hurt, lonely and miles away from family. He came home late that night. I don't know who dropped him off. He was in no condition to drive. Drunk, he came to my bedside and tried to pee on me! I woke in time to take him to the toilet, but he insisted that it was not a toilet. So, I shoved him into the shower and held the door closed until he went. I decided it would be fun to explore this scenario. A drunk married man, a scorned woman and revenge. I asked myself: What kind of revenge could a woman exact on a husband after he has cheated on her? I think I found the perfect answer. Enjoy!

Beware of Late Night Tabloid Shows

Let’s be honest. On the internet we can be anyone we chose to be. The show Catfish is a prime example of that very fact. We really don’t know who we are chatting with or what their intentions are. Case in point, my friend signed up for a few online dating sites. Wow, did we learn a lot. Did you know there are scammers that come across as honest to goodness sweethearts, that take your heart, then want your money? Oh, I was angry about how these guys operated. I stewed about what was happening to my friend. I wanted so badly to make a profile for myself and bend a few dicks, if you know what I mean. Particularly the guys that had tried scamming my friend. In that mindset, I came up with an idea. The opposite of what was making me angry. So, I wrote a fun story about what it would be like to possibly find love and romance via the net in an unconventional way. What if you were a virgin and had a sensitive problem? How would you go about solving it? Who would you trust with your problem? Just a few questions I asked myself when writing the short story Begging Becky.

Can a stolen parking space, a punch in the face, and a wild birthday party lead a couple to romantic bliss? Beth and Jake meet and slug it out over a parking space. Little did the other know the two were attending the same birthday party. Sparks fly and hilarious disaster supervenes. Jake is fascinated and intrigued by the petite powerhouse he calls Lips. And Beth is ... well, Beth holds tight to a secret. A very dark secret that prevents her from entertaining serious relationships. And much to her annoyance, the man she calls Dick doesn't take no for an answer - nor does her body. Will he persist? Her body tells him to continue, but her lips tell him otherwise. Fate has a way of bringing people together even when their least desirable characteristics are introduced first. This is a spicy romantic comedy with lots of clever dialogue, unhinged desire and some very steamy moments.

Parking Spot Thieves

I got this idea looking for a parking space in a mall parking garage. By the way, this is not a true story, but the idea just popped into my head while searching for a space. I'm not saying I haven't had it happen... Someone sneaking in and stealing my parking space. But I'm not a confrontational person. So... What if I was brave enough to confront the perpetrator? What if I was single? And what if it was a guy and he was rich and sexy? Oh, and what if the main character had a secret? I fell in love with my characters while writing their story. I hope you enjoy their story as well!
