The Rise and Fall of Our Youth

The Rise and Fall of Our Youth is not a book about how best to raise your children, but rather a bookto open your mind up and get you thinking. It should be considered a tool to be referred to. I do not feel there is a book written that I would put my full trust in to raise a child by.

Reality at hand

Upon entering Los Angeles Jose received his first dose of reality. The reality he had just brought his family to hell.

First encounter

When John knocked on Emilio's door he was not sure what to expect. Finally after the second knock the door crept open, the man on the other side was as weather worn as the house he lived in. When John first looked at him he thought to himself, this man had all the answers but will never remember any of them. John then put his hand out, introducing himself. The old man said I know who you are, wearing that ridiculous suit in this neighborhood, you had to be either the reporter I have been waiting on or a Jehovah Witness. Now if you are Jehovah Witness, I am going to shoot your ass on the spot because I already told you guys not to come back. Their first encounter was meant to be confrontational, because Emilio wanted John to know he was in charge.

Pachuco

As he turned and looked around at how he and his family were being forced to live, he clinched his fist. He was so tired of feeling the depression he lived with in his everyday life. He was done worrying about how he was going to feed his family each day. But most of all, he was tired of giving his family false hopes in the form of excuses and promises that he knew would not ever come true. These false hopes amounted to nothing but lies.

A journey through time

Pachuco depicts the harsh reality of what the Hispanic culture went through when Alta Calif. became California under the US gov. and what changes they were going through that caused the pressure groups as we know them today as gangs to evolve. The epic story unfolds California history in 10 year inclement starting in 1860's and moving forward to the 2000's.

Pachuco

It is a story about life. It is about the Hispanic culture in East Los Angeles and how the gang mentality spawn. It is about a culture of people who went through a lot to get to where they are today. I enjoyed writing this story, i hope you will enjoy reading.
