The Face Reader, Second Edition

Self-Help

Every face tells a story. Mien Shiang—Taoist Chinese Face Reading—is a 3000 year old practice that has its roots in Taoism and Chinese Medicine. It gives you the means to discover anyone’s true personality, behaviors, and character—including your own. Wouldn’t you like to know, simply by looking at the size and angle of a person’s cheekbones, if she was the right hire for your team? What if a quick glance at your date’s chin revealed his strong character, but marks near the outer corners of his eyes hinted at issues with fidelity? Wouldn’t you like to know the inherent gifts and challenges associated with the size, shape, and placement of each of your facial features, as well as the lines, moles, scars, and blemishes on your face? The Face Reader (Second Edition) is the definitive book for helping you to learn how face reading can enhance every aspect of your life, from the workplace, to family life, friendships, dating, and love. It is fully illustrated with nearly 200 color photos, tables, quizzes, insightful anecdotes, and suggestions on how to best use your natural gifts and challenges. The Face Reader, first edition, was a Nautilus Book Awards Silver Winner.

Marks of Infidelity. A Sure Sign of Cheating?

Just as our eyes reveal much about our present emotions, the markings around our eyes divulge much about our past and how we have responded to grief, broken hearts, sadness, physical pain, and even our issues with fidelity. I love to use real stories and anecdotes in my teaching and writing, and this true story illustrates so beautifully how one woman paid attention to what she saw on her husband's face and did something about it.

You Don't Have to Be a Face Reader to Know Some Th

Knowing how to interpret the different signs on our faces is a valuable gift that I value greatly. Often, though, I've found that what I've learned from Mien Shiang —Taoist Face Reading and Facial Diagnosis — simply confirms my instincts. That’s why I added the Ghost Eyebrow story to the Second Edition of The Face Reader. The ancient Taoist monks who first recorded their observations of people’s physical traits and their corresponding behavioral and character traits, most likely noted that their instincts often matched their astute observations, too. Our gut feelings save us time and again from acting too quickly or from dragging our feet. Yet, it’s a complex world; looks can be deceiving, and there are con men and women out there preying on our good natures. Sometimes we just need another tool. Mien Shiang is my most reliable tool in relating to loved ones and friends, as well as to strangers when my gut just is not enough to rely on. So, while most people would have picked up the unsavory vibe from Mr. Ghost Eyebrows, most of us can use some extra help at other times!
