For the Love of the Game
I started with a basketball scene because it's a subject I know a lot about. I played basketball for twenty-five years, including a few years in high school, and a single year in college. I was also a volunteer kids coach for about eight years, which helped me with the role of Coach Mitchell – knowing the kinds of plays he would draw up and things he would say.
