Girl, Conflicted

Romance

Emma Storey is thirty-two trying to balance her love life, friends and work. She has been in a relationship with Chris for two years and is eagerly anticipating his proposal over a romantic meal. But the proposal doesn't go quite to plan and Emma's world is flipped upside down. To make matters worse, Emma’s best friend, Sophie, is full of the joys of a new relationship with her new man, Connor. Weeks later Emma is still feeling sorry for herself, so her two work friends, Jenny and Lola, take her out for an evening of tequila. There she meets a cute guy at the bar, who introduces himself as Johnny. He easily charms a drunken Emma back to his apartment for ‘coffee’ but this proves to have devastating consequences as Johnny turns out to be more than Emma bargained for. A chance meeting with a handsome stranger makes Emma realise that true love may be possible after all. But she is then left to consider whether to keep her secret or risk losing everything.

Bumping into Mr Right....literally!

Isn't it funny how people just appear in your life completely unexpectedly. Sometimes we don't know why they appear at that moment but the unexpected is most definitely worth it. I like to think that when you feel like there's no hope and all is lost, a handsome stranger can change your point of view....

Falling for the wrong guy...

Mr Charming looks so handsome after several shots of tequila. He's paying you attention and that feels really good; to be found attractive and interesting by a really cute guy. Mr Charming hangs off your every word. He appears to be a true gentleman. He's almost to good to be true...

Waiting for the proposal...

What happens when everything you've planned in your head dramatically falls apart right in front of you? When you're in love with him, but he doesn't feel the same way. How do you deal with the ultimate rejection? Do you deal with it in a calm and elegant manor? Or drink your body weight in wine, eat cake, and let your hair down....
