The Earth is under threat from an extinction level event. Billions will die, however there are many alien species watching. Some are here to help, others have their own agenda for humans or "containers" as they call them. The elites on Earth have their own secret refuges built and stocked for survival, the rest of the population will have to fend for themselves. Some of the alien races are disgusted at this fact and endeavour to save a million preselected humans. The book details their struggle for survival and the complex relationship between the elite members of the human race, their un-shared technology and everyone else. The complex web of characters in the book all come together for "the event" that builds throughout. The Earth event is unstoppable and will destroy the very fabric of the human race killing billions and essentially wiping out the entire population. Yet two Alien races have our best interests at heart and plan to help. Preparations on Ark have been underway for years as the planet enters the solar system and causes what at first appear to be increasing natural disasters. These increase in frequency as the two planets reach perigee leading to the event. It is the intention of the Arkans with the help of the Eridanians to secretly save one million Terran's who have been pre-selected. They will be transferred to the giant planet to start a new life in cities already built and waiting for their occupation.
