I never would have expected a Bipolar support group to be the first buyer of my book You Fall Off, You Get Back On. Maybe it's because I've written a book that inspires people with my stories of how I bounced back from difficulties, how when I learned to ride a horse, my mother always told me, "You Fall Off, You Get Back On!" This lesson applies to so much of life! Don't stay down! Get back up. We all fall, but to stay healthy we must get back up! And have a laugh along the way.

I hope to inspire others who may be going through difficult times, with stories and good humor. I wore leg braces early in my childhood, but when they were removed I fell in love with riding horses. This essay recounts one of my first experiences.
