Faery Kissed

Science Fiction & Fantasy

Bran has always wanted to try and see the Fae during Midsummer's Eve when the Earth realm and Faery are blended. What he didn't count on was meeting a beautiful Fae princess who would turn his world completely upside down, wreaking havoc on both his life, his heart, and his future.

Chapter One of Faery Kissed

This fantasy romance love triangle was developed as part of an anthology trilogy I did with authors Belinda Boring and Kamery Solomon. We were all given the same criteria--the story had to have Fae (fey, fairies) in it, be 25,000 words, and it had to happen around Midsummer's Eve. It was fun to see how different the stories turned out. This was my first attempt at fantasy, and historical genres.

My Little Surprise!

I love this story, but I never expected it to take off the way it did. I hit publish one day and left town. Hours later as we traveled, I made the comment that my phone was going nuts, receiving a billion alerts from Twitter and Facebook and I wondered what was going on. My best friend was with me and was silent for a few moments before saying, "Ummm…your book is one number away from hitting the Top 100 on Amazon and it's #45 on Barnes and Noble." I couldn’t believe it! When we arrived at our hotel I got online and I almost DIED! As I went through my Facebook messages, I came across an introduction from one of the biggest New York Agents in the business asking to represent me. I was astounded! So this is the book that gave me my initial breakthrough to being traditionally published. It's sequel, Smitten, amazed me even more, hitting the USA Today Bestsellers list. I call this the "little story that could" because it just took off on it's own and raced up the hill. I'm planning to release a third book, Love, sometime in 2014. Happy Reading! Lacey

A Book of the Year???

Chasing Nikki was a great surprise for me. It did okay in it's initial release, but gain exposure about 9 months later, after my release of Crush and absolutely EXPLODED! When Amazon notified me that it had been chosen as one of their Top 100 Teen Books of the Year, I broke down in tears of gratitude! I was thrilled when my agent picked it up as well and was able to sell it to a traditional publisher. This story had so many pieces of both me and my cover model/muse, Chase, in it. The emotion of real life experiences definitely seeped into the pages of this fictional story, connecting with the readers in ways I never thought possible. I was truly afraid to release this book. It was one I had written for ME. I thought readers would hate it and want to strangle me for it. I never expected it to become so beloved. I'm constantly tagged with it all over social media with people talking about it. So THANK YOU for loving it! It was a difficult story to share. You have my heart in your hands! Lacey <3

Book of Shadows: Fire & Ice

Teens

He was on the run. Love wasn't an option, But Fate had a different plan. Magic abounds and sparks fly, when destiny brings Fire & Ice together. Time passes . . . sometimes too quickly, other times not fast enough, but that’s not what’s important. The essential thing is what we learn about ourselves during that passage of time and how we apply it. Will we continue to follow the destructive paths we find ourselves on? Will we give in to circumstances that seem completely unchangeable? Or will we desperately fight to hold onto those we love and to what’s good inside us—no matter how terrible the cost? I only know I would do whatever was required of me to keep Portia, but in a world of witches, warlocks, and demons, anything can happen. My name is Vance Mangum, and this is my story.

Vance Mangum

This character is hands down one of my readers favorite. He first appeared in the Of Witches and Warlocks series, told from his love interest's point of view. Readers begged me for more of him, so I decided to completely rewrite the series from his perspective. It turned out to be a lot more fun than I thought it would be! While there are shared scenes/dialogue between the series, I was able to delve much deeper into this character and add a lot more from his world that wasn't able to be seen in the original. In addition to the new books, I was able to hire a cover model (Aaron McGuire) to portray Vance as well. That has been a BIG hit with his fans! He often accompanies me to signings and readers LOVE being able to get their picture with him. I will always have a special place in my heart for this character. He was the beginning of it all…the character who gave me my initial exposure. I am definitely part of the world wide groups know as the Vance Fans!

Tell Me Why

Romance

Pumping Up The Steam Factor!

Tell Me Why was my first attempt at writing something a little steamier. I decided to use a pen name to differenciate this title from my Young Adult books, though I haven't decided if I will keep it this way since it's been harder for readers to find. Though Tell Me Why is a standalone novel, I do have plans to write about other characters that appeared in this book as part of the rock band Fringe. This particular story delves into the hardship of lives and a budding romance after a beloved friend and step-sister commits suicide in the story. I have unfortunately had friends and loved ones who've committed suicide and I don't think they ever realized the heartache and devastation they would leave behind. This was a way for me address some of those sorrows, and hopeful be able to reach out to anyone else who may have either suffered through loss, or may be considering such means to an end themselves.
