The 10 lepers in this biblical story found themselves always on the outside looking in. The disease separated them from the rest of society. The one leper, a Samaritan, not only faced the seclusion caused by the disease, he also faced the Jewish distrust of all things Samaritan. The scripture doesn't give us much insight into their misery, but it takes little imagination to feel their pain. Imagine the feeling of the Samaritan as Jesus, the Healer, approached.
