Many years ago, I vacationed to the Highlands of Scotland. One particular evening, well into the black of night, my travelling companion and I opted to pull our rental vehicle to the side of the road to rest. The environment felt otherworldly to me; I didn't dare shut my eyes in irrational fear of what may happen upon us from the dark hills. Thus began Abby's adventure into the world of the Red King.
