The Key to Cabo

Mystery, Thriller & Suspense

Danger is a way of life for Rock Pounder, so when the DEA asks him to recover $250 million in drug money hidden somewhere in Mexico, the 10% finder’s fee makes the risk worthwhile for Rock and his team. But when his beautiful publisher Penelope Dickens Frost finds herself in possession of a key that leads to the drug money, he finds trouble on more levels than he ever expected. Penelope is one of the only women who hasn’t immediately fallen for Rock’s charms, but things heat up as the two of them race across the Mexican desert on Rock’s dirt bike, with drug lord El Raton in hot pursuit. From Dallas to Cabo San Lucas and into mainland Mexico, Rock and Penelope follow the money trail, with Rock’s unique team aiding in the escapade. But someone on the inside is betraying them. And publisher Penelope Dickens Frost proves to be almost more than even Rock Pounder can handle in this high octane thriller, the second book in the Rock Pounder series.

The Publisher: Penelope Dickens Frost

Rock and Penelope have lived their lives in very different worlds. Penelope lives in the world of books, art, culture and polite conversations. Rock has said on more than one occasion that he "lives in the real world," a world of danger, shady characters, and adventure. Their relationship has been strictly business, until Penelope finds herself thrown into Rock's world through a simple mistake. It's a collision of cultures, personalities, and wills, as they set off on an adventure through the wild Mexican desert.

Who is Rock Pounder?

I've traveled all over the world on my motorcycle, and every trip holds a story. I created the character of Rock Pounder to tell some of the actual stories from my own life, although Rock is still a fictional character, and his adventures are mostly fiction. Chapter One gives an insight into Rock's character. He's always in trouble of some kind. He can be morally ambiguous on occasion, but he has a good heart, and he works for the good guys, whoever they may be. In this case, he's trying to stop a drug cartel's money from entering the U.S. He also loves women and enjoys his herbal refreshment. Later in the story, he will be involved with a woman who gives him almost as much trouble as the cartel.
