This book touches on many themes around the ancient practice of Pilgrimage, which is a sacred journey that allows a pilgrim an opportunity to be transformed before returning to his or her world, bringing home the many graces and gifts received through the experience. This book was originally planned to be the story of one pilgrim’s journey along the famous Camino de Santiago, the ancient way of St. James, on the scallop shell trail for the 500 miles across the Pyrenees from the French town of St. Jean Pied de Port to the “end of the world” at Finisterre. As a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic that shut down most of the world in the spring of 2020, this pilgrim went to Plan B and discovered that his new adventure may just have been the Camino he was meant to take all along. He shares his personal reflections, insights and daily hikes in the hope of inspiring future pilgrims to make the inner and outer journeys that God may be calling them to encounter.
