Shadows of Death

Teens

Conner and Almira are typical teens, in love and looking toward the future. Ricky is Conner's best friend since kindergarten and the funny-guy counter-point to the athlete Conner. Flower is a friend of all three, still looking for true love after one too many dud love affairs. Life for the four high school friends was perfectly normal and perfectly safe. But that was to change forever in a single, catastrophic evening. ˃˃˃ Not what they were looking for; no, not at all! One Saturday night, the friends are out driving, looking for fun and harmless adventure. But they find death and misery, instead. At the edge of town, just off the interstate, the friends discover a mysterious portal into a cold, dark world. They sense a terrible evil and barely escape with their lives. Back in the world they've known since childhood, something has turned horribly wrong. Neighbors, teachers, and relatives are dying -- of rare and unique diseases or strange circumstance. The body count around the globe is growing like an epidemic! As their parents and best friends become the latest victims, the teens understand they must return to the dark place again to save the world. Even if it cost them their lives. Join Conner, Almira, Ricky and Flower as they run from Death and into the arms of Love! Follow these four fascinating and delightful teenagers as they rush to save the world, their lives, and their LOVES!

Death and Disease

For this paragraph, I wanted to give the sense that, not only were people dying in large numbers, which was terrible and strange, but that they were dying of diseases that were rare and, in many cases, from different regions of the world. I wanted to paint a picture of a place where things had gone terribly wrong.

Demon Days

Teens

What could be better than a party out with your friends in New York City? In the year 2035? The future is bright. In fact, the future is already here! A future, unfortunately, filled with kidnappings and killings. BY #$&*@!’ DEMONS FROM OUTER #$&*@!’ SPACE!! How did we get here? I mean, we have robots that float about hither and thither to protect us. Robot doctors. Even robots inside us now. (Did I mention it’s the year far in the future, 2035!!?!) Love is still alive. In fact, Zach loves Mallory and Mallory loves Zach. But Zach’s in a coma. Mallory’s disappeared, presumed dead. Timothy James has been captured (his friends call him Timmy Jimmy). Patty Patty is in serious danger and goddamn it all, she’s just a kid. And then there’s Helena, and Pistachio. And the rest of the wacky gang. All being cut down in their prime. By beasts without feeling, without souls. It’s the end of the world as we (haven’t yet) known it. Love, sex, death. This book has it all. Plus love.
