Adam becomes a target
Up until this point, Adam was never suspected as being the potential owner of the relic. In turn, Adam never suspected that evil forces were truly out to hunt down the relic. This point in the story is where those two worlds collide for the first time and our hero becomes entangled in a web of betrayal and jealousy. Adam is faced with the challenge of dismissing this attack as a random case of mistaken identity or accepting that there are greater and more dangerous forces at work here.
